Geneva Presbyterian Church is located on the south side of Sheldon Road, just north of Ford Road. Services are led by Rev. Bryan D. Smith, senior pastor of the church. Numerous youth programs and classes are available for kids and adults of all ages. Through various missions and outreach programs, the church is active in the community.
The First Presbyterian Church of Troy has been a part of the Troy community for years. Its founding go as far back as the 1920s, and the denomination as a whole played a key part in the lives of the early American revolutionaries. They participate avidly in this tradition, but also strive to improve and move over the years into a malleable identity that remains culturally relevant.
Located on the north side of Walnut Lake Road just east of Halsted Road, St. Thomas has served Metro Detroit's 120,000-strong Chaldean community since 1992 before moving in to its current home in 1998. Led by pastor Frank Kalabat, the church offers masses in Chaldean, Arabic and English and features a beautiful grotto on the north side of the area used for prayer and reflection.
The church is active with the Chaldean Federation and the Chaldean-American Ladies of Charity in the Adopt-a-Refugee charity program and the Helping Hands program to help those in need internationally and locally.
Lakepointe Church is a Christian church that offers a variety of educational and worship services with a warm, welcoming congregation. Led by Pastor Scott Blanchard, Lakepointe has youth ministries and education for all ages in addition to adult life groups and missionary trips. The church meets each Sunday at Lutheran High School-North.
Faith Bible Presbyterian Church is a Bible-believing and Christ-honoring church. The church was founded by Pastor John C. Mills in 1970. The church organizes home Bible study every other Friday. The Sunday services are at three different times and there is a big parking at the rear end of the building.
St. Thomas Episcopal Church was founded in 1843 and it is the oldest denomination in Trenton. The church has a youth group, women's craft group, adult Bible study group and much more. In addition, there is a St. Thomas Thrift Shop within the premises, where donated goods such as clean clothing, household items and books are sold. All the proceeds are given to charitable causes.
The Northville Christian School offers traditional education as well as a Christian-centered curriculum. In addition to religious coursework, instructors teach Saxon math at all grade levels. The school uses a systematic approach to reading so each young child can master the skill. The language arts program is aimed at teaching writing and speaking, in addition to reading. According to the school's data, 75 percent of its graduates test above 95 percent on their SATs.
Nardin Park United Methodist Church is a congregation of more than 1,000 parishioners in Farmington Hills. The church participates in many activities throughout the year, and gives parishioners an opportunity to practice their faith through outreach and education. Partner organizations include the Red Cross, Habitat for Humanity, Focus: Hope, the Farmigton Neighborhood House, the Salvation Army and a local homeless shelter. The church also supports national Christian Science initiatives, such as the Appalachia Service Project and various missionary projects throughout the world. Young people are invited to take part in many activities, including a youth ministry and music programs. The church also offers a vacation Bible school each year.
Atonement Lutheran Church has been serving the Dearborn community for more than 80 years. Located on Mead Street in East Dearborn, the congregation describes itself as a "vibrant fellowship of believers, living our traditional faith in a modern world." The church offers fellowship and study through its Men's Bible Class, which meets on the first Saturday of each month at 10am, and its Women's Bible Class, which meets on the second and fourth Wednesday of the month at 10:30am. Atonement's Ladies Aid and Senior group actively support local mission and outreach programs. The church also offers ESL classes to area residents.
