We started Turning Green as a side job. Since 2009 we extended our services to include Tranditional, Transitional and 100% Organic Lawn Health Care, Tree and Shrub Health Care, Deer Repellent and Tick Control to every town of Fairfield County, Orange and Milford, CT. We have participated and completed the Bartlett Arboretum" & Gardens Programs for Arboriculture and Turf. Were proudly graduated from the Northeast Farming Association (NOFA )Land Care Program and earned the most prestigious Certificate of Accreditation. Other that make us proud is that we are certified by the State of Connecticut with a rating of "Arborist and Turf ,as well as, having extensive experience working in the field for over 15 years with other companies of Fairfield County. José and I chose to work in this industry because we love nature and enjoy working outside. We love to see how plants thrive and change in every season. It is our pleasure to show our customers just how we can maintain a beautiful healthy green landscape, organic, hybrid or traditional programs.

This family-friendly farm is owned by the Plasko family and is the last fully operating farm in Trumbull. The farm features fruit and vegetables, farm fresh eggs and bakery items for sale, a country store,  a greenhouse and a corn maze. The farm has been owned by the Plasko family for three generations.

Thomas Sherwood first farmed this pretty property in 1713. In 2010, 17 uninterrupted  generations later, Thomas Sherwood still farms one of the oldest farms in the country continuously farmed by the same family. The Sherwood family grows over 90 vegetables and sells their own produce, plus honey, artisanal flax seed bread, apples, blueberries, strawberries and other fruits from elsewhere in the state year-round. Cage-free chickens produce eggs for sale. You can watch the bees make honey in an observational display case inside the recycled barn. The working farm is open for tours and special events are scheduled throughout the year.

Aspetuck Valley Apple Barn is most aptly named during summer-early fall, when bushel baskets of fresh-picked Ida reds, Jonagolds, Macouns and Macintosh, to name a few, fill the funky space. Open from April through December, locally grown blueberries, strawberries, tomatoes, plums, peaches, nectarines and other produce are offered, along with jams and preserves, maple syrup, freezer-to-oven fruit pies and ever-popular apple cider donuts. The Apple Barn also sells cheeses and snacks, candles and an array of gifts. Spring through summer, hanging baskets of flowers adorn the barn alongside annuals and perennials for sale.
