The Church of Christ at Manor Woods was first founded by three families in Wheaton in 1946. The church moved to its current location in Rockville in 1966. The church is very active and has many ministries, includings one for every age group from infants through adults. Manor Woods also gives to over 16 missions every year and encourages its congregation to get involved as much as possible.

Halethorpe Community Church is a vital part of the neighborhood. The church began in 1940, with the formation of the Everyman's Men's Bible Class -- an independent, non-denominational Sunday School class that drew men from various denominations in the area. The group first met in the American Legion Hall, moved first to a room over the Halethorpe Pharmacy, then to a renovated bowling alley and eventually ended up in the current property at 1312 Francis Avenue.
