The North Shore Art League is an art collective and gallery that showcases the work of local artists.  In addition, it hosts classes and workshops for community members. Located in the heart of downtown La Grange, this small gallery is home to a unique variety of art including abstract oil canvases and photography.

Hix Bros. Music is a local family-owned music store and has been in business for more than 20 years. It sells a large selection of guitars, amplifiers, drum kits and other accessories. Hix also carries many specialty brands of pedals and amplifiers. Visit the store for information on lessons and instument repairs.

This non-profit arts center was founded more than 50 years ago, as an outlet for North Shore artists. Just north of downtown Highland Park, the experience begins before one even walks inside. The grounds of the center are alive with sculptures of various types. Inside, information about classes, exhibitions and workshops are offered. The center is supported by donations, and those who donate receive special privileges as members.

Stonegrove Guitar is a small business with a large inventory. It carries almost 20 different brands of guitars and guitar accessories. Not only is this a retail store, but it also offers private lessons in guitar, bass and even the drums. Since 2002 it has been a rapidly growing business.

The Music Room is a music center specializing in guitar products, music resources and classes. The Music Room also offers instrument repair and maintenance, and as well as rental services for flute, clarinet, saxophone, violin and trombone instruments.

Unicoi Art Studio offers art classes for children and adults. It also hosts parties. 

Located in an office building near 165th St., the Music Connection provides students of all ages with skills needed to be enjoy music for a lifetime. It also provides quality music education through private and group instrument instrucition. Classes start at $96 depending on the instrument and frequency of lesson. There is another location in Frankfort.
