As a branch location of the Akron Area YMCA, the Green Family YMCA offers a variety of recreational opportunities for individuals of all ages. Founded in 2000, the Green Family YMCA s facilities feature an aquatic center, gymnasium with fitness equipment, racquetball courts, family and standard locker rooms, and preschool and school-age child care classrooms. It provides financial aids for families through the Partners With Youth campaign, as well as family memberships for military families. The organization conducts arthritis, yoga and Pilates classes and aqua aerobics, adult exercise and swimming sessions. It also organizes boot camps that focus on body weight movements, cardiovascular activity, dumbbell resistance, medicine balls and agility tools. The Green Family YMCA additionally provides lessons and clinics for basketball, soccer, floor hockey and T-ball.
