This family-owned and -operated organization offers classes, clinics and lessons in cheerleading, tumbling and dance for students 3-18 years old. All of the dance teams hold State and/or National Champion Titles and Sportsmanship Award Titles.
Classes have a 6:1 student/teacher ratio; please contact Florida All-Stars for fees and schedules. New students are eligible for one complimentary trial class. Programs reinforce values and morals and encourage cheerleaders and dancers to surround themselves with family, religion and school.
Teams are broken down by age. For example, the Allstar Cheer squads include: Tiny Cheer (for ages 3-5), Mini (8 and younger), Youth (11 and younger), Juniors (14 and younger) and Seniors (18 and younger).
For those who need personal instruction, thirty-minute private (one-on-one) and semi-private (two students to one instructor) cheerleading/tumbling lessons are available for all ages and skill levels.
The Special Needs Program is unique, the only one in the Tampa Bay area. The spacious facility is also available for high school junior varsity and varsity cheerleading teams. Rehearsal times are reserved on a first-come, first-serve basis for a two-hour practice per week.
Though many skating rinks around the country have closed their doors in the past decade or so, Skateland of Brandon is very much alive and stronger than ever.
- Skating lessons are available on Saturday mornings. Learn proper balance, technique, posture, coordination and safety guidelines with a certified coach during the Beginners Class or Pre-Teen Practice Session.
- Weekend birthday parties book up quickly, so be sure to secure your reservation early. Skateland's Dee-Jay B-Day adds an extra touch to your child's extra-special day—the birthday boy/girl helps choose and announce the music!
- Private parties can be reserved for groups, including nonprofit organizations looking for a FUNdraiser.
- All that skating certainly works up an appetite! Visit the Snack Bar and grab a hot dog, pizza, soft pretzel, candy, nachos or beverage.
- Take a mini break to play a video game, a round of foosball or pool.
- Skateland offers countless special events throughout the year, such as All-Nighters, Sock Hops and Family Night, to name a few.
Safety is a priority for this family-friendly establishment; skaters are always supervised and on-site security is present every Friday and Saturday night. Feel free to bring your own skates or rent a pair when you arrive.
BHS McLane Stadium is an athletic and sports field. The field is used for numerous school and sporting events, including football games and soccer games. The school has made numerous playoff appearances in the past and the main school colors are maroon and white. Check the main school athletic website for a full schedule of games or for details on upcoming events.
Pump It Up is a children's play and party zone. You can book holiday, school groups and birthday parties for kids to play in its colorful and fun-filled facility. Hours are by appointment for private parties and open play hours vary according to the season. Be sure to call ahead to check the schedule.
