Freedom High School, located in South Riding, services a large portion of the Chantilly community in Loudoun County. It is home to numerous sports programs, with multiple championship-winning teams in a variety of sports for boys and girls. Academically, it offers programs in math, science, language arts, fine arts, technical education and much more. Guidance programs are offered in transitioning to high school life, social life issues or college enrollment.
Westfield High School, "Home of the Bulldogs", provides an education for students in the area who are in grades 9-12. Principal Tim Thomas leads the school with strong academic and athletic programs. Some activities for students include SGA and NHS.
"What we believe, is what we achieve…So soar!" is the motto at Poplar Tree Elementary School. Led by Principal Sharon S. Williams and Assistant Principal Hallie M. Dillon, the school prides itself in celebrating diversity and meeting the needs of its students. The school offers various programs including Head Start, Read Naturally and Gifted/Talented classes.
The Winwood Children's Center - named for the meaning of success implied in "win" and the solid foundation associated with "wood" is a local preschool and daycare company that also has locations in Brambleton, Fairfax, Reston and more. Founded by Barry and Wendy Meil in 1994, the company has a solid reputation for providing researched-based curriculum that encourages intellectual development. The staff is one of the most experienced and knowledgeable amongst the Chantilly-area daycare centers, and assures students a personal level of attention. Pickup and drop-off services are also offered.
Chantilly Academy Gymnastics and Preschool provides its students with a unique combination of traditional pre-school curriculum and gymnastics training. The school offers individual gymnastics classes, clinics and summer camps for all skill levels. The facility also is available for birthday parties.
The Montessori School of Fairfax provides care and learning programs following the Montessori philosophy for children ages 2 to 12 years old. The directors/directresses are AMS/AMI certified. Both half-day and full-day programs are available, as are before- and after-school care. This Montessori also offers enrichment programs.
St. Timothy Catholic Church has an active youth ministry, as well as several committees and support groups. The church is led by Rev. Gerald Weynes and is also home to an elementary and middle school.
Virginia Christian University (VACU) is a Bible university that provides its students with the theological education that is necessary for future ministers. The university offers associate, bachelor and masters degree programs. Students at VACU are also able to take non-degree classes.
Named after Benjamin Franklin, Franklin Middle School is "Home of the Falcons." Sharon Eisenberg is the principal, and the school serves 7th and 8th graders in the community. Some activities at Franklin Middle School include orchestra, golf club and salsa dancing.
Montessori Children's Center is located just inside the Little River Commons community off Gum Spring Rd. The school offers programs based upon the education principles of Maria Montessori, with a special emphasis on creating enrichment activities that develop the child's intellect and curiosity about his environment. Programs offered include one for toddlers, a pre-school program, kindergarten and before and after school care for kids up to 12 years of age.
