This United Methodist organization embraces diversity. The campus ministry opens its doors to many other community groups, while a group of UNI students who congregate at there enjoy social activities and events as well as missionary and service work.
Immanuel Lutheran Church has been an important part of the Waukee community since 1975. As a place for worship and meaningful sermons, the church also prides themselves on offering a variety of music, original dramas and children’s sermons. The congregation enjoys seeing new faces in the crowd and hopes to makes people feel welcome when visiting.
First Presbyterian Church is made up of people of all ages, diverse backgrounds, nationalities, and faith traditions that have come together to form a spiritually vibrant community. The church offers ministries for children, youth and adults in music, mission and volunteer work opportunities, the college fellowship program and group sports activities. Nursery and child care is available during times of education, worship and prayer groups.
The Unitarian Universalist Society, led by the Reverend Eva Cameron, is "where reason and spirituality meet." Childcare is available from 9:30am - 10:45am on Sundays.
The Jewish Federation of Greater Des Moines provides central fundraising for Jewish organizations throughout the state of Iowa, providing funds for community needs such as senior assistance, community supplementary education and interfaith relations. Hebrew School is available at this organization.
Seventh Day Adventist Church offers several religious services to the community, including worship, outreach ministries and mission trips. Some of the ministries offered include men's, women's, and childrens's, health, Sabbath school and more.
