Swiss Valley, located 9 miles north of the Michigan and Indiana border, in Jones, Mich., is the closest Michigan ski area to Chicago and Indiana. The full-service, family-oriented ski and snowboard area provides 11 runs with varied terrain to accommodate all levels of skiers. Swiss Valley also has a terrain park that is ideal for snowboarding. The ski area has seven lifts, which includes two quad chairlifts, one triple chairlift and four rope tows for the separate beginner s area. In addition, each slope is lighted for night skiing. Swiss Valley also has a ski shop, repair facility, large cafeteria, chalet dining with cocktails, lounge area with fireplace, game room, Professional Ski Instructors of America certified ski school and a 2,000 unit ski rental department.
