Lions Wayside Park is a community park which offers a relaxing, outdoor experience. Additionally, Lions Wayside Park hosts live entertainment on Friday. The .7-acre space features a barbecue pit and picnic tables for dining al fresco.
The Preserve Staging Area is a public park maintained by the City of Pleasanton. It features the 1.4 mile Preserve Trail. This isolated hiking route features several steep hills and panoramic views of Pleasanton. Ample parking, a water fountain and public restroom are available.
Shadow Cliffs Regional Recreational Area is part of the East Bay Regional Park District. Donated by the Park District from Kaiser Industries, the park has 266 acres including an 80-acre lake and four-flume waterslide with ample picnic areas. Activities include the Rapids Waterslide, a swimming beach, fishing, and boating (including boating for electric motors).
Alviso Adobe Community Park is a collaborative historical project between the City of Pleasanton and the Museum on Main. The park features lighted walkways, an amphitheatre and gardens, in addition to educational tour exhibits in which three distinctive periods of history are reconstructed and interpreted for visitors.
Historical exhibits on-site feature Native American bedrock mortar, as well as other Native American artifacts, a fully and accurately restored Alviso Adobe, complete with period furnishing, and the historic milking barn and bunkhouse of the adobe's dairy period.

Pleasanton Sports and Recreation Park is part of The Parks and Community Services Department. The park features basketball courts, a soccer field, volleyball, Little League fields, a running track, skateboarding track, concession stands and a batting cage.
