Yad Ezra is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting impoverished Jewish families through the delivery of free kosher groceries and health-care items. Established in 1990, the organization is Michigan's only kosher food pantry and provides support to more than 1,600 families each month. In addition, Yad Ezra provides the needy with specialty items for the various Jewish holidays.
Nardin Park United Methodist Church is a congregation of more than 1,000 parishioners in Farmington Hills. The church participates in many activities throughout the year, and gives parishioners an opportunity to practice their faith through outreach and education. Partner organizations include the Red Cross, Habitat for Humanity, Focus: Hope, the Farmigton Neighborhood House, the Salvation Army and a local homeless shelter. The church also supports national Christian Science initiatives, such as the Appalachia Service Project and various missionary projects throughout the world. Young people are invited to take part in many activities, including a youth ministry and music programs. The church also offers a vacation Bible school each year.
