The Weymouth Town Hall building is located on Middle Street. This facility is home to the office of Mayor Sue Kay and the Town Council, who meet on the first and third Monday evening of each month, commencing at 7:30 p.m. Other town departments and boards operate out of or meet in the building.
Located along The Freedom Trail, this building was built in the North End in 1932. It is home to various City of Boston offices such as the Human Resource department, the Massachusetts Turnpike Authority and the Boston Police Department Area A, Districts 1 & 15. The Barnstable Municipal Airport has come a long way since its first flight landed on a grassy field in 1928. Since then, the 623 acre airport located in Hyannis has grown to house Cape Air/Nantucket Airline and Island Airlines, in addition to private and charter aircraft including Rectrix Aerodrome Centers, Inc., Griffin Aviation and Cape & Islands Air Freight.
The US TSA has an office here and officers on duty to secure passengers en route to Logan Airport in Boston. In addition to TSA officers, there are also police officers who staff the terminal.
The airport is also home to rental car services, a soon-to-open Mad Platter Restaurant and the Michele Kennedy art gallery.
In May 2012, officials dedicated a new passenger terminal, air traffic control tower and access road, elements of a $40 million improvement program.
Plymouth County Farm is a farm that has been run by the Plymouth County Sheriff's Department since 1910. The farm currently houses the Sheriff's Department's mounted unit and also features cattle and miniature horses. The site hosts horticultural programs and family-friendly events.
The U.S. Army Career Center is located next to the Sacred Hearts Parish church on Main St. As soon as you walk in the door, the Army officers will be more than willing to assist you. They have an interview process to help determine your qualifications. Walk-ins are accepted, so there is no need to make an appointment.
The U.S. Army Career Center is active in the community and provides support for a lot of local high school and elementary schools. It also runs Project Strong and various other youth programs for children 10 and under. The office participates in sponsorship programs and participates in local parades.
