Established in 1961, Cape Cod National Seashore features more than 40 miles of pristine sandy beaches, marshes, ponds, lighthouses, cultural landscapes and wild cranberry bogs. It offers a variety of indoor and outdoor activities, including bicycle trails, film series, ranger-guided programs, campfire, canoe exploration and storytelling. The park operates a self-service, year-round, overnight environmental education program where groups can apply for overnight accommodations throughout the year that range from two-day to one-week intervals. It has prepared a series of lesson plans that provides background information, student reading materials, and on- and off-site activities. Cape Cod National Seashore is located in Wellfleet, Mass., and is a part of National Park Service, which is a network of more than 400 natural, cultural and recreational sites throughout the United States. It is a bureau within the Department of the Interior.

Located along The Freedom Trail, this building was built in the North End in 1932. It is home to various City of Boston offices such as the Human Resource department, the Massachusetts Turnpike Authority and the Boston Police Department Area A, Districts 1 & 15. A section of the building which was an old printing company is now used for the North Bennett Street School for grades K-8. The building is also used for public meetings and city conferences. The Barnstable Municipal Airport has come a long way since its first flight landed on a grassy field in 1928. Since then, the 623 acre airport located in Hyannis has grown to house Cape Air/Nantucket Airline and Island Airlines, in addition to private and charter aircraft including Rectrix Aerodrome Centers, Inc., Griffin Aviation and Cape & Islands Air Freight. 

The US TSA has an office here and officers on duty to secure passengers en route to Logan Airport in Boston. In addition to TSA officers, there are also police officers who staff the terminal.

The airport is also home to rental car services, a soon-to-open Mad Platter Restaurant and the Michele Kennedy art gallery.  

In May 2012, officials dedicated a new passenger terminal, air traffic control tower and access road, elements of a $40 million improvement program.

The U.S. Army Career Center is located next to the Sacred Hearts Parish church on Main St. As soon as you walk in the door, the Army officers will be more than willing to assist you. They have an interview process to help determine your qualifications. Walk-ins are accepted, so there is no need to make an appointment.

The U.S. Army Career Center is active in the community and provides support for a lot of local high school and elementary schools. It also runs Project Strong and various other youth programs for children 10 and under. The office participates in sponsorship programs and participates in local parades.
