About Plastic-Tags E. R. Perry Signs & Engraving LLC is the home of Plastic-Tags.com and is located in the north woods of Minnesota on the shore of Lake Superior. The business is owned and operated by me, Elizabeth R. Perry Betsy and supported by my husband, Vilnis Neilands. I have over 30 years experience in the sign business in various capacities. I started by hand lettering jockeys helmets at the Saratoga Springs Harness track, established a successful commercial wooden sign business in Bolton Landing, N.Y. and ultimately expanded into the computer driven engraved signage field. For various personal reasons and the frenetic pace of New York life, my husband and I decided to relocate to the northern wilds of Minnesota, an area more compatible with our rural natures. We established a storefront sign business in a commercial structure we purchased and rehabilitated in downtown Grand Marais, MN. We also built a sizeable production facility off grid running on solar power alone. Since the focus of our business has always been quality and customer service, the needs of our existing client base was important to us. To continue providing service to them we expanded into the e-commerce and mail-order arena. As a result Plastic-Tags.com was born and has thrived. It has prospered so substantially that our focus has moved away from the local commercial sign sector and towards the broader e-commerce market. As we have grown so has the Internet and its supporting structures allowing us to provide our customers the same level of performance, or even better, than if we were located just around the corner. We have been able to streamline our operations, decrease our overhead costs, and strengthen the continued production of high quality products. Internet operations allows us to put the finished product in your hands simpler and sooner than ever before. Our intent through this website is to be nimble, flexible and solutions oriented to provide the customized signage our customers desire for their facilities and their products. We can work from your designs or make design recommendations for a professional look on your doors, desks, walls, machinery and products. Our shopping cart is limited to simple routine type items which are often sufficient for many of our customers. Many others however, contact us directly to formulate and design products that we produce for them specific to their particular needs. Think of us not as much as a store but rather as your personal production facility. Our 30 years of successful operations in the sign business ensures our ability to produce or access the broad array of products and materials available to accommodate your specific requirements.
