Named after its owner, Misako Ballet Studio teaches ballet, modern and dance tropical in its upper level studios located in Harpers Choice Village Center. Artistic director Misako Aoki-Oda studied at the Royal Ballet School in London; during her performing career she danced professionally with Japan's Matsuyama Ballet Company and toured Europe and China with Rudolf Nureyev. Misako Studio teaches the Royal Ballet of London Style and follows the American Ballet Theatre National Training Curriculum. Classes are open to children and adults and include contemporary, creative movement, rhythm and steps, world dance, and Zumba Fitness. All classes are held in its two studios on professionally-sprung floors.
This dance studio opened in 2008 and offers a variety of classes including ballet, jazz, tap, hip-hop, funk fusion and Latin. Jamz offers open enrollment for most of its classes, which are held Monday through Saturday.
