The West Cobb Dance Center offers instruction in a number of classical and modern dance forms. Instructors lead students of all ages and as young and 18 months. Dancefx Atlanta is a non-profit dance studio which offers group and private lessons to students in the Atlanta area. The studio offers various styles of dance such as ballet, pointe, tap, jazz and contemporary; there is also a burlesque aerobics class available. Students who are unable to pay for their classes may instead opt for the Clean-For-Class program, wherein students assist by cleaning the studio's mirrors and facilities for a rate of $8 tuition credit per hour. Italso offers summer camps for children, as well as themed birthday party hosting for adults and kids.
The Royal Peacock is a reggae nightclub in the historic Auburn Avenue district. It holds a rich history as hosting to some of the greatest entertainment figures like James Brown, Ray Charles, and Arethra Franklin. The club was restored & reopened in August of 2010 after being closed for almost two years.
