The Jewish Community Center of Metropolitan Detroit is a sprawling campus at the corner of Drake and West Maple. The campus features a pizza restaurant serving kosher food, a large hockey rink, theater and many more facilities for activities. In addition, the Jewish Community Center also houses the Henry and Delia Meyers Library, which offers a large collection of Judaica-themed fiction, nonfiction, DVDs and music, as well as secular-themed items. The library has free Internet access and is open to the general public.
Heather Farm is home to various amenities, including the Clarke Swim Center, an off-leash dog park, tennis and volleyball courts, ponds, bike paths and trails. It also features a connection to the Iron Horse Trail. The picnic area has seating 104 people and six barbecue areas, and may be rented for private events. For indoor events, the center may also be rented, and features seated dining space for 300 and theater-style seating for 450.
Greenbriar Community Center is home to Pleasant Valley Preschool, as well as New Hope Fellowship.
Pleasant Valley Preschool is a nonprofit cooperative preschool. The school is fully licensed and accredited with a maximum enrollment of 16 children per class. Half-day learning programs are offered for children ages three to five.
New Hope Fellowship is part of Wesleyan Church and is led by Pastor Pat Deevers. Their mission is to serve the poor and homeless in the community.
At Blue Devils Bingo Hall, there are exciting games going with cash prizes, guaranteeing someone wins every game. It also has a slot room for those not into bingo. This is a great place to go a have some gaming fun.
John F. Kennedy Community Center features a fitness center and a racquetball court. The center also provides two large rooms to rent for bridal showers, group meetings and other events.
La Peña Cultural Center is a nonprofit performing arts and culture center in Berkeley. The center hosts classes, cultural exhibitions and public events relating to Latin American culture and a variety of other cultures from around the world. The center also sells Latin, homestyle food from its in-house restaurant, Café Valparaíso.
The Stroum Jewish Community Center is a gathering place for people of all faiths intended for learning and exercise.
"The J" operates a broad array of services at their campus on East Mercer Way, including the Early Childhood Education child care and preschool, Center Stage performing arts program, cultural celebrations and educational programming with a focus on Judacia, and several competitive and non-competitive sports leagues.
Some facility highlights include a 25-yard, four-lane pool, a hot tub and dry sauna, a running track, two studios for exercise classes, a multi-purpose room, basketball and racquetball courts, a fitness center, a new "J-Cafe" espresso bar and free Wi-Fi. The SJCC is also host of the Mercer Island Holocaust Memorial, a tribute to victims who are related to Washington state residents.
Yorkshire Meadows, part of the Yorkshire Village residential complex, is an adult community center that sponsors events for older adults. Activities are held constantly. Call the center for more information and current schedules.

The Iron Oaks Environmental Learning Center is a 37-acre nature preserve in which the main focus is environmental education and outdoor recreation. A joint project between the Homewood-Flossmoor Park Distric and Olympia Fields Park District, it is open to the public for group outings, outdoor classroom education, corporate outings, team building and private events. Indoor facilities include room rentals and The Discovery Center, which are available for birthday parties, bridal and baby showers, weddings, student groups, corporate seminars and presentations. Iron Oaks is open year around.
