Echo Park Lake is managed and maintained by the City of Los Angeles Department of Recreation and Parks. The lake is open yearly and includes such features as a path for walking, picnic areas, paddle boats, a boat house and areas for fishing. Lotus flowers also grow nearby from June to September. The lake is known by residents as a great place for dog walking, family visits, nature walks and scenic observation.
