College for Creative Studies is one of the leading arts education institutions in the United States. Formerly known as Center for Creative Studies, it has been operational for more than 65 years. Based in Detroit, CCS is approved by the North Central Association and National Association of Schools of Art and Design. The college enrolls more than 5,000 undergraduate and graduate students annually. It offers majors in advertising design, animation and digital media, art education, crafts, fine arts, graphic and interior designing, illustration, transportation design, photography, and product design. College for Creative Studies also offers courses in art direction, copywriting, integrated and Web marketing, commercial production, campaign development, presentation skills and portfolio development. In addition, the college offers noncredit courses in the visual arts through its continuing education programs.
