Nashville CARES is one of Tennessees leading community-based AIDS service organizations. It is a nonprofit organization that was founded in 1985. The organization offers education, advocacy and support services. It serves more than 2,400 men, women and children. Its services include individual and group counseling, case management, emergency housing and assistance in finding permanent housing and short-term rent and utility assistance. The organization also provides home-delivered meals, transportation assistance, dental care, outpatient alcohol and drug treatment and social activities.
