Maximum Outdoor Equipment & Service was founded in April of 1989 as Maximum Tractor by Mr. Witte and Mr. McDaniel. The company began as a farm equipment dealership selling Hesston hay equipment and several short lines. In 1992 Snapper and Grasshopper were added as the lawn and garden division. In 1995 the company exited the farm equipment business and began to operate solely as a lawn and garden dealership. At this time the lines of Husqvarna and Walker were added. In January 1998 Mr. Witte became the sole owner of Maximum Tractor. The company continued to have exponetial growth in the lawn and garden business. In 2001 Maximum Tractor was renamed to Maximum Outdoor Equipment & Service to better identify our core business. Maximum Outdoor continues to be Wichitas and South Central Kansas premiere outdoor power equipment destination.
