Led by State's Attorney Eric Weis, the State's Attorney's Office prosecutes court cases involving alleged felonies and misdemeanors, as well as alleged traffic offenses and county ordinance violations. The office also serves as legal counsel for other county offices and includes victim/witness advocates and a child-advocacy center. The State's Attorney's Office is located inside the courthouse in the government center campus on Yorkville's west side.
