It is a full-service garden center offering a large selection of locally grown trees, shrubs, evergreens, perennials and annuals. In addition, the firm provides a selection of hard scape materials, including pulverized soil, mulch, decorative/utility gravel, flagstone, brick pavers, stepping-stones and many more. Through its 80 acre nursery along the banks of the Iroquois River, Tholens Landscape and Garden Center grows plants catering to the landscaping project needs of its customers. Being the sole distributor of Belgard pavers in Kankakee County, the center keeps a large stock of its pavers and retaining wall blocks.
