Half-Cocked Academy is a firearms academy located on the west side of Idaho Falls. NRA Certified Firearms Instructors Chad and Christy Russell teach the very same marksmanship fundamentals and skills used by todays best shooters. Emphasis is on handgun and rifle fundamentals and effective engagement of known and unknown distance. After completion of a two day course, the student will be well versed in proper firearms handling, safe use of their firearm, and will also have met all requirements to obtain the Basic Idaho Concealed Weapons License.
Training is scheduled based off the students need. Just contact us to schedule a time that works best for you. The current weather is irrelevant as the instructors have plenty of experience in adverse conditions. This is Idaho, after all.
Fees are dependent on the size of the group you bring; the more the cheaper! There are also discounts for seniors, veterans, teachers, new gun owners, and special considerations. Firearms and ammunition must be supplied by the students! Hearing and eye safety required during live fire.
