The La'James in Cedar Falls, one of seven in the state, offers training in the beauty industry. It is owned by Cynthia Becher who has more than 40 years of experience in the field. The school and spa is located in the University Holiday Plaza strip mall. The school offers training for its students as well as many health and beauty products and services to its patrons.

The salon services include cuts, shampoo and setting, color, highlights, braiding, perms, relaxers, conditioners and Malibu treatments. Services available at the Tuscany Day Spa include facials, glycolic and enzyme peels, microdermabrasion, pedicures, manicures, full body waxing, massages, hydro tub, salt glows, body wraps, sauna, sunless tanning, reflexology, custom spa packages and artificial nails.
Hair Professionals is a salon located in the Sheldon Munn building. The stylists on staff offer haircuts, coloring, highlights and lowlights, waves, frosting, perms and other hair care services. Waxing is also available.
