Bailey's Community Center is run by the Fairfax County Department of Community and Recreation. The center has something for all members of the family. There are after-school activities, as well as sports and mentoring programs.
All participants must be Fairfax County residents. The facility and nearly all programs are free, except for trips and some senior programs. Located in the Bailey's area of Falls Church, it is conveniently located to nearby homes. For further details on programs, call or visit the center.
QDD Swim Team is a swimming organization that began in the early 1960s at the Quantico Marine Corp base. Nicknamed the Quantico Devil Dogs, it is now located near Old Town Manassas. It currently has three swimmers who were invited to try out for the 2012 Summer Olympics.
Emmanuel Baptist Church held its first service in a fire house in 1954 and became affiliated with the Southern Baptist church in 1956. Over the years the church has expanded and now offers worship services as well as missionary work and Emmanuel Christian school, located next door. Emmanuel stresses a literal interpretation of the Bible. The church offers a variety of programs for men, women and children of all ages, as well as services in Spanish.
