Founded in 1975, Essex Valley School is a private, nonprofit middle and high school for students classified with behavioral disorders.
The fundamental purpose of Essex Valley School is to provide a therapeutic and academic environment that is designed to nurture the emotional, intellectual, behavioral and social growth of each student so that he/she may become a contributing member of society.
For those students who wish to attend vocational or technical programs, Essex Valley School offers a half-day academic schedule. Vocational programs in culinary arts and cosmetology are being developed for implementation during this school year.

We are a New Jersey Department of Education Approved Private Vocational Massage and Nutrition School. In addition, all of the Academys programs and courses are individually approved by the New Jersey Department of Education.
