The Glenview Art League has been serving the needs of Glenview artists for almost 50 years. Located in central Glenview, the Art League conducts a summer art fair, a youth fair, weekly painting sessions and occasional workshops.
Scandinavian Ski Shop has been serving the Glenview community since 1964. Housed in a building reminiscent of an old ski haus in Switzerland, this shop offers a full line of skis, bindings, boots and snowboards in brands such as Burton, K2 and North Face- enough to satisfy any winter sport fanatic. The experienced staff knows their products and are always ready to help customers with their questions.
Any time hockey players and figure skaters need to sharpen their blades, they can step right off the ice and into Big Lou's Pro Shop inside the Glenview Ice Center. In addition to skate sharpening, the shop offers many different skates, clothing, equipment, accessories and gifts. Big Lou's also carries Blackhawks jerseys as well as those from other NHL teams.
Located in the center of town, Glenview Cycle has been selling and repairing bikes of all shapes and sizes for the past seven years. Owner Alan Rubin is committed to giving back to the community, helping the police every spring with helmet fitting at the Village Bicycle Safety Fair. Glenview Cycle also provides the bicycles in area parades and gives donations to local organizations. During the winter, customers can store their bikes in the heated storage units for $100, which includes a free tune-up.
