Neighborhood Child Care Center is tucked into an entirely residential neighborhood just west of Main St. and is within a stone's throw of Paint Creek Trail and Rochester Municipal Park. Todd and Mary Greenbaum founded the center in Pontiac in 1977 and moved into the current location on Griggs Street in 1987.
Rather than divide children by age, children are instead put into multi-age groups of about ten children that rotate through the center's rooms. The building features a drama room, art room, library and gym, and children are free to move between the rooms and throughout the center.
The Learning Experience Child Development Center provides learning services for pre-K children. It is located on the west side of New King Drive, west of Crooks Road. Its L.E.A.P. 1 and 2 programs are designed to help preschooloers learn shapes, colors, numbers and spacial reasoning. It also provides math, reading and writing classes for older pre-K children.
