Founded in 2003, Little Wishes attempts to bring joy and happiness to hospitalized children by granting small wishes for seriously ill children. Though the wishes may not be expensive, the non-profit organization does things more frequently to help kids who are hospitalized for long periods. The organization was founded by two nurses after they worked with an 8-year-old boy who had cancer and found that even little things could help brighten his day.
Directed by Jelani Bertoni and Spokey Godfrey, The Bicycle Works is a non-profit bicycle co-op providing Marin's community a space for workshops, classes and creative collaboration on all things concerning bicycles. This hands-on environment is dedicated to suppling community members, who have taken an interest in bicycling, with the knowledge, skills, tools and materials for bicycle-related activities and bicycle mechanics, maintenance, building and repair. Volunteer mechanics are on hand to assist, teach and answer questions.
Support through donations are fully tax-deductible. Contact The Bicycle Works at the telephone number provided to speak to a representative and learn more.
