Aerostar International products fall generally within two categories: aerospace/aviation and highly technical sewn and sealed products. Aerostar aerospace products range from its original hot air balloons to military and science parachutes, high-altitude scientific and military balloons and airships, space inflatables, and interplanetary balloons and parachutes. Its remaining technical products range from Military NBC barrier protection to survival suits, inflatable military decoys, advertising products, helium remote control blimps, helium inflatables, parade balloons, and government or military uniforms. Aerostars roots are found in high-altitude scientific balloons. Scientists have used its scientific balloons to observe the atmosphere since 1956, when its parent company Raven Industries was founded.
